That is the reason why Forbes (a major international newspaper) in a recent article called Cardi B “Queen of rap 2018”. Everyone was happy to welcome a new star shining in the music sky. Who knew that, on another front line, there were people who were “on edge” because they were suddenly robbed of their title for several years? 

Forbes used “Queen of rap in 2018” to describe Cardi B’s success.

Netizens started calling Nicki Minaj’s name – Cardi B’s archrival. Over the past year,  controversy has also revolved around the owner of the hit “Bodak Yellow”, mainly from the war with Nicki Minaj, from the war of words to even use violence. Not only that, in terms of market, both released albums in the same year and clearly, “Invasion of Privacy” completely prevailed over “Queen”. 

Therefore, Forbes naming Cardi the “queen of rap” is like a “pour of cold water” thrown directly at her colleague, who has maintained that title for so many years.

Overtaken by a “narrow family”…

However, fans still think that this is just a newspaper’s favor for the young female rapper. If she is a true “queen”, Nicki doesn’t need to worry too much and should use that time to regain her aura with her own top-notch music.
