Maddox Jolie-Pitt just set a new bar for high school extracurricular activities.

The 15-year-old son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will be serving as an executive producer on his mom’s upcoming Netflix project, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The budding film mogul isn’t just helping out his mother, though — he has a personal connection to the subject matter.

Dubbed First They Killed My Father, the Jolie family’s first joint film venture is an adaptation of activist Loung Ung’s memoir that tells of his survival of the communist Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia, which killed two million people between 1975 and 1979.

Maddox, Angelina’s first son, hails from Cambodia. “We’ve been coming back and forth for 17 years, it feels like a second home to me,” the actress and director said at a recent press conference for First They Killed My Father, as People notes.

“The children have close ties to the children here, many of them are their best friends. Maddox is happy to be back in his country.”

Maddox certainly earned his credit as executive producer on the film. His mother broke down his contributions to the project in an interview with The Guardian, saying, “He was the one who just called it and said he was ready and that he wanted to work on it, which he did. He read the script, helped with notes, and was in the production meetings.”

Given this film as well as the recent announcement of Angelina’s next two acting roles, there will be plenty more opportunities for Maddox to bulk up his résumé—and, maybe, it won’t be long until he makes his own film debut.
