But Madonna, 65, stunned her fans on Tuesday night when a naughty Santa watched her get spanked on stage.

The Father Christmas character sat alongside the singer on stage, and the duo held up numbered scorecards to rate various dancers and performers.

At one point, a woman strode across the stage at the Capital One Arena and ordered Madonna to turn around before she whacked her on the rear end with what appeared to be a riding crop.

Santa happily watched the encounter take place.

Later, a female dancer mounted Santa before both took a tumble onto the stage.

As she got on his lap, he fell forward and landed on top of her, with her legs crooked.

Santa then took a moment to collect himself – and retrieve his glasses.

Madonna’s 11-year-old daughter Estere also took to the stage, dancing in front of her famous mom.

The Queen of Pop adopted Estere and her twin sister Stella from the Malawian children’s home in 2017.

NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE

In November, the songwriter opened up in detail for the first time about how close she was to death during her stint in the ICU in June.

Madonna suffered lung and kidney failure, with doctors fitting her with a breathing cannula to help keep her alive.

Speaking on stage in Paris at the Accor Arena, the emotional singer said: “I was in the hospital. I was in the ICU. My lungs weren’t working, I wasn’t breathing on my own.

“My kidneys were failing. I was infected with some bacteria that nobody knows about. And there is a 40% mortality rate.

“When I woke up I saw all my children around me and I thought this is what will save me. My children will save me. It’s not me who saved them.”

Madonna went on to reveal how her long term manager Guy Oseary sobbed next to her as she struggled to even get out of bed to go to the toilet.

The pop icon added: “My manager came to me and he was weeping next to me. I came home from the hospital two weeks later, and nobody knew when I would get better.

“He was like ‘do you want to go back on the road? Do you want your tour to happen?’.

“I was breathing oxygen through a cannula through my nose, I could barely get out of bed to walk to the bathroom and I said ‘give me two weeks to think about it’.

“You know, I think of myself as Wonder Woman. I think I can overcome anything, anything but this time I could bring the will.

“I didn’t have the strength. I had no energy, it was taken from me.

“So the two weeks went by and I still had barely any energy. I could drink espressos, four Red Bulls. Nothing woke me up. I had no life force.”

SAVED BY THE KIDS

Mom-of-six Madonna says she was inspired by her children to battle on – citing her plans to take her family on the road and include them in her show as her motivation.

Her 11-year-old daughter Estere appears in the production as a dancer, as does her twin sister Stella.

The singer’s 18-year-old son David plays guitar during her rendition of Let’s Go Crazy and Mother and Father.

During the segment, Madonna also pays tribute to David’s birth mother.

“I had this one thought in my head. If I don’t do this this moment will never happen again and I will never be able to do this with my children,” Madonna continued.

“So, again my children saved me. They made me keep going and I recovered faster than most people would.

Hinting she could follow in the footsteps of Britney Spears and release her own memoir, the Holiday hit-maker added: “Just pages from my book. I left a lot of pages out. I can’t tell you every story. Come back for part two.”
