Nick Cannon says he’ll ‘never have a love’ like he did with ex-wife Mariah Carey.NH

Nick Cannon admitted that he believes he had a once-in-a-lifetime love with ex-wife Mariah Carey, saying their ill-fated romance was nothing short of a “fairytale” and that he hasn’t closed the door to them getting back together one day.

Appearing on The Hottee Talk Show Podcast on Wednesday, the 41-year-old comedian said he will never “have a love like I had with Mariah.”

“I’m a true believer in love and I allow the capsules of love to be where they lie. I’m not a timeline dude,” he told host Tee.

“It was literally like a fairytale with Mariah so I would rather it just be that way. I appreciate that fantasy because if I tried to go back and it wasn’t the same, I’d be like, ‘Damn, I messed it up,’” he continued.

But he added, “If I had the opportunity, if it could be the way it was, I’m there.”

Cannon was married to the 53-year-old “Songbird Supreme” from 2008 to 2016. The pair share 11-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan.

Cannon and model Bre Tiesi are currently expecting a child, which will be Cannon’s eighth kid and Tiesi’s first.

In addition to his two kids with Carey, the “Masked Singer” host is already dad to 4-year-old son Golden “Sagon” and 1-year-old daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell; and 7-month-old twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with Abby De La Rosa.

Cannon and Alyssa Scott were also parents to a son named Zen, who died on Dec. 5 at 5 months old after being diagnosed with brain cancer last year.

The latest pregnancy serves as an extra surprise considering Cannon said in October that he was trying to stay celibate until 2022 — a goal he definitely did not seem to achieve.
