Liu Yifei joins Nicholas Cage and Hayden Christensen in new movie

30 Aug – Chinese actress Liu Yifei has been selected to join the cast of an upcoming China-U.S. romance-war epic, “Outcast”.

CRI website reported that the announcement was made by distribution company Yunnan Film Group via its official Weibo, saying that a party was recently held in Beijing to welcome its lead stars on board.

Liu will star alongside Hollywood big names, which include Nicolas Cage and Hayden Christensen. The movie will begin shooting in Beijing and Yunnan Province in September.

Meanwhile, the “White Vengeance” actress recently posted a photo of herself in one of her horseback training sessions for the movie, and stated, “I am working with the same trainer who trained me six years ago for “The Forbidden Kingdom”!”

The 26-year-old actress also disclosed that despite her fluency in English, she has found that learning the British accent has been quite difficult.

“Outcast” will be action choreographer Nick Powell’s (“Gladiator”, “The Bourne Identity”) directorial debut.
