Actor Keanu Reeves – member of the Dogstar group, performed rock music after more than 20 years at a music festival in California (USA).

According to EW, the Dogstar group including Robert Mailhouse, Bret Domrose and Keanu Reeves performed songs from the albums Our Little Visionary (1996) and Happy Ending (2000) at the BottleRock Napa Valley festival. Reeves, who is in charge of playing bass, said he felt nervous before the performance.

However, drummer Mailhouse encouraged the actor. The actor said: ‘Mailhouse appeared excited before going on stage. He told me: ‘You just need to listen to the music and join the song. Everything will happen naturally”.

The Dogstar group announced their return to public performances last July through an Instagram post. Reeves and the members confirmed their participation in BottleRock Napa Valley after receiving an invitation from artistic director Tom Hoppa. 

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, every time the actor’s face appeared on the big screen, the audience shouted: ‘We love John Wick’ (We love John Wick).

Reanu Reeves is very talented

In an interview with Billboard on May 26, Reeves said he always finds ways to balance playing music with his Hollywood schedule. The actor said: ‘Music is a part of my life. I remember the moment Dogstar practiced, composed and stood on stage together’.

Dogstar was founded after a meeting between Reeves and Mailhouse at a supermarket in 1991. The two became close thanks to their love for music. Initially, the group had Gregg Miller in charge of singing and playing guitar, alongside Domrose. 

In 1994, after Miller left the group, Domrose became lead vocalist. In addition to the two albums, Dogstar released an EP called Quattro Formaggi in 1996.

Reeves, Domrose and Mailhouse have kept in touch since the last time they stood on stage in 2002 – when Reeves built a foothold in Hollywood through roles in Dracula (1992), Speed ​​(1994) or The Matrix (1999). ).

Keanu Reeves is a Canadian actor, director and producer. Before getting into acting and music, the actor had a dream of becoming a professional hockey player. Reeves is known to audiences for his roles in action films, notably the role of assassin John Wick in the film series of the same name.
