Last year, the public also learned that Nicolas Cage did not receive any compensation for acting in the movie Leaving Las Vegas ( 1995 ). This is the film that brought Cage the first and only golden Oscar in his acting career to date.

In an interview, the director of Leaving Las Vegas – Mr. Mike Figgis revealed that both he and the film’s male lead – Nicolas Cage, participated in making this film without receiving any compensation.
