Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil received a police citation after his “Wild Side” came out and had to be restrained by Nicolas Cage.
Neil and Cage brawled at a Las Vegas hotel about 5 p.m. local time Thursday after the 55-year-old heavy metal singer attacked a female fan who’d asked the “Adaptation” star for his autograph, reports TMZ.
After a 5:24 p.m. call to police, the woman alleged that the hotheaded vocalist had approached her from behind, grabbed her hair and jerked her to the ground at the Aria Hotel, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police told the Daily News on Friday. She did not request medical assistance.
The fight broke out as Cage, 52, intervened to calm down his pal and put him in a car, according to TMZ.

“Stop this s–t now!” the “National Treasure” star yelled at Neil as he clutched him by the neck, video footage of the altercation’s tail end shows.
Police slapped Neil with a misdemeanor battery citation, but didn’t arrest or haul him into custody, an official told The News. He faces a maximum fine of up to $1,000 and/or six months in jail.
Nicolas Cage intervened after Vince Neil allegedly pulled a woman by her hair.
Neil’s attorney, David Chesnoff, said he is still investigating the incident.
“All I’ve seen is that there was an allegation of a simple misdemeanor battery,” he told The News. “People shouldn’t pre-judge things until all the facts are in.”
The unlikely duo have been photographed together multiple times over the years, including at the singer’s now-defunct strip club in 2012. Photos also show them mingling with prop comedian and Vegas mainstay Carrot Top on various occasions.
A rep for Cage has not yet returned The News’ request for comment.
This is far from the “Dr. Feelgood” rocker’s first skirmish with the law — in 2011, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor disorderly conduct stemming from a dust-up with his ex-girlfriend at a Sin City lounge.
That same year, he served a brief jail sentence, paid a fine and completed drunken driving counseling after pleading guilty to DUI charges in Las Vegas.
In 1984, he was charged with vehicular manslaughter and DUI after he killed Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas (Razzle) Dingley and injured two others in a Redondo Beach, Calif., drunk driving collision.
