Part of an actor’s job is having people notice them everywhere they go. However, sometimes their face can be so recognizable that people start drawing comparisons between them and another actor.

Many celebrities even have very their own doppelgangers. Ariana Grande and Sarah Paulson are just some of the stars who’ve had a case of mistaken identity. The King’s Man actor Ralph Fiennes recently revealed that he has a doppelganger as well.

Take It As A Compliment

The Harry Potter actor did a recent interview with BAFTA award-winning comedian Graham Norton on his talk show where he revealed that fans often mistake him for action actor Liam Neeson.

That makes sense, since both actors are known for starring in huge blockbuster films, perform plenty of action-packed stunts and are Hollywood A-listers. So they have a lot in common.

Ralph Fiennes certainly didn’t seem phased by the comparison, either. In fact, the actor was flattered. “I’ve been complimented on my performance in Taken 2,” the 57-year-old told host Graham Norton.

The comedian then put up headshots of both Fiennes and Neeson to compare the actor’s facial profiles. There are small similarities, but for the most part the two look nothing alike. Ralph Fiennes then hilariously adds that Liam Neeson also gets mistaken for him as well.

“Yes, he gets complimented for his The English Patient, too.” Both actors have very distinctive features but are great at making movie magic. Perhaps fans should try comparing their resumes instead and see what they come up with.

Tracey Ullman & James Nesbitt Get Mistaken For Other Actors

Not only was Harry Potter’s Ralph Fiennes in the hot seat on The Graham Norton Show, but so were European actors Tracey Ullman and James Nesbitt. The British comedian and The Hobbit star each revealed the celebrities fans often mistake them for, seeming a bit disappointed at their comparisons.

Nesbitt especially didn’t see the resemblance between his doppelganger actor John Hannah when Graham Norton showed their side-by-side photos.

Nesbitt additionally stated that the producers for The Hobbit even made the mistake of assuming he was actor John Hannah, quoting, “they said ‘I loved your work in Sliding Doors’… But that’s not me.” Even to this day, Nesbitt wonders if the producers knew he was James Nesbitt. There are some actors who just can’t escape their doppelgangers.
