Stallone’s turn as fish-out-of-water mobster Dwight “The General” Manfredi scored big for Paramount+ in season 1. Tulsa King season 2 seemed like it might not happen for a time, as Stallone expressed dismay at the grind of making episodic television, but the stars eventually aligned and the actor is now set to return as Manfredi, with a premiere date yet to be revealed.

As work continues on the eagerly-anticipated Tulsa King season 2, Stallone gave audiences a BTS glimpse of himself decked out in some dapper gangster attire, declaring “don’t f—k with Dwight.” Check out the posting below:

When Will Tulsa King Season 2 Premiere?

Tulsa King season 2 experienced production delays related to last year’s WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, but work was finally able to commence in early 2024, and is indeed ongoing.

Big changes are afoot for the show in season 2, as ousted season 1 showrunner Terence Winter returns to the fold as a writer.

Controversy surrounds Tulsa King as well, after allegations that Stallone and an unnamed episode director made derogatory comments about background actors.

Assuming everything goes smoothly behind-the-scenes, Tulsa King season 2 should be on-track to finish filming in the coming weeks.

The show would therefore be on track to return within the fall 2024 release window, which has been reported to be the target.

When Stallone and company do come back, the show will have some leftover season 1 business to clean up, after the big cliffhanger that saw Dwight facing prison.

Tulsa King is available to watch on Paramount+

Since Tulsa King season 2 is unlikely to strand Stallone in prison for an entire season, it’s probable that Dwight’s legal problems will somehow be cleared up, leaving him free to continue building his new criminal empire in Tulsa.

Some new adversaries are on-deck for Dwight in season 2, as Frank Grillo and Neil McDonough join the cast.
