The franchise’s last entry was 2021’s No Time to Die, which marked Daniel Craig’s final outing as the spy – and updates on his successor and next movie have been few ever since.

Speaking to Deadline about any updates she could offer, Broccoli admitted that “there’s nothing I can tell you about the next Bond film,” adding: “There’s nothing. Nothing is happening yet.”

They echo similar comments she made in November last year, the producer admitting it will be a while before they get things in motion.

“It’s gonna take a while for us to get — you know, it’s a whole new reinvention,” she told Variety. “So it’ll take some time.”

The previous month, she told The Guardian: “Daniel [Craig] gave us the ability to mine the emotional life of the character…

I think these movies reflect the time they are in. There’s a big, big road ahead reinventing it for the next chapter and we haven’t even begun with that.”

Amid all the rumours over which star will take over the role of Bond, one director who has been subject to speculation over helming the next movie is Christopher Nolan.

However, the Oppenheimer director recently put to bed any rumours that he could join the franchise, telling Associated Press: “No, sadly no – no truth to those rumours.”

While we wait for future confirmations, Bond fans will be able to enjoy all the previous movies on ITV from next month, with the films set to stream on ITVX too – marking the first time they’ll be available on advertising-based streaming.
