Jimmy Butler, the most in-form player in the NBA Playoffs next to Nikola Jokic, has a secret to playing at such a high level and the Miami Heat dominating their 3-1 series against the Boston Celtics.
Max Strus, Butler‘s Heat teammate who is one win away from winning the Eastern Conference and qualifying for the NBA Finals against the Denver Nuggets, has revealed the Miami star’s musical tastes to motivate him before games.
“Honestly, I’m amazed that whatever he plays before the game, it gets him going. Sometimes it’s Miley Cyrus, sometimes it’s Justin Bieber, sometimes it’s Rick Ross. Whatever he needs to keep doing what he’s doing, we’re all here for it,” the Heat forward recounted.
It’s clear that Butler, who is averaging 29.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.6 rebounds in 13 Playoff games this season, is the Heat’s leader on the court and on the Miami locker room playlist.
