Courteney Cox poked fun at her bangs in iconic horror film Scream just days after her pal and Friends castmate Jennifer Aniston brought back ‘The Rachel’ haircut at the Golden Globes.’ 

The 59-year-old actress shared a fun video on Instagram on Tuesday of herself monitoring the construction going on at her mansion.

It begins as one of Courteney’s friends walks up behind her and asks what’s going on and the star replies: ‘Construction.’

The veteran actress then does a double take on her pal’s sweatshirt and sees that printed on it is a screengrab of her fringed look of character Gail Weathers from 1996 classic horror film Scream.

Courteney responds: ‘What’s that? Don’t wear that sweatshirt. Now the bangs. C’mon that’s ridiculous. That’s embarrassing. Where’s Lily?’

She is seen as the character Gail Weathers in the classic horror film

She hastily walks off to check on those who are doing construction on her home only to find three construction workers wearing sweaters with different images of herself with wild hairstyles as the theme song from the Twilight Zone played.

This is not the first time Courteney has joked about her hairstyle from the horror flick as back in November 2020 she shared a funny snap referencing it while filming sequel Scream 5.

At the time she had posted  a fun picture from the shoot with someone dressed as the villainous Ghostface.

The  actress used her caption to poke a bit of fun at her Gale Weathers hairdo – including the character’s memorable fringe.

‘Ghostface’ had pair of scissors poised to lop off some of her hair prompting Courteney to caption: ‘Not the bangs!!!!!!!!’

Meanwhile her pal Jennifer Aniston brought the iconic ‘The Rachel’ haircut back for the 2024 Golden Globes on Sunday as she hit the star-studded red carpet.

The Friends actress, 54, who debuted the iconic layered bob in 1994 as she played Rachel Green, debuted an updated version of the choppy hairstyle as she arrived.

The star showed off her toned frame in a black strapless Dolce&Gabbana gown which teased a glimpse of her cleavage and her tiny waist.
