Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon shared a sweet reunion on Sunday night as they attended the 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards in Los Angeles.

The two actresses were both nominated for their roles alongside each other in The Morning Show and shared a warm hug on the red carpet.

Jennifer, 54, and Reese, 47, have been close friends ever since they played sisters on Friends in 2000 and looked delighted to see each other.

Jennifer dazzled in a black bustier top with a long flowing train and teamed with a pair of matching trousers and dangly earrings.

The Cake star continued to rock her ‘The Rachel’ haircut after bringing back the hairstyle at last week’s Golden Globes.

Reese complemented her co-star in another strapless black ensemble, opting for a Celine gown with a large asymmetrical bow across her waist and racy leg slit.

The duo were sat together inside the star-studded event to watch the ceremony, alongside Reese’s lookalike daughter Ava Phillippe, 24.

Their series garnered six nominations in the TV categories, including Best Drama Series, while both Jennifer and Reese received nods for Best Actress in a Drama Series.

However, they were beaten out by Succession in both categories, with Sarah Snook taking the Best Actress gong.

But, their co-star Billy Crudup was successful in winning for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for playing Cory Ellison.

Jennifer and Reese recently opened up about their long-standing friendship in a joint interview with Variety last month.

Jennifer explained: ‘We’ve been in each other’s lives for 20-something years. It’s just in our DNA that we are collaborators.

‘We’re partners. We’re friends. We’re girlfriends, we share all sorts of heartbreaks in life and love and everything.’

Reese then gushed: ‘There’s a comfort to that. It’s just mutual respect and years of experience. And I think we’re both incredulous that we’re both still kicking around!

‘That we’re still working at this level is such a privilege. It’s an honor to get to contribute to something that’s really speaking about the world we live in nowadays.’
