Jennifer Aniston – the resilient shadow of Hollywood

After an unhappy childhood and two divorces, Jennifer Aniston learned to accept herself.

Bringing laughter to the audience through the role of Rachel in the classic comedy film Friends , the 54-year-old star has experienced a lot of pain in life. According to AFP , she said it took a long time to learn how to accept the unfortunate things that happened to her.

Aniston was born into a family with parents working in the artistic field. The star’s father, John Aniston, played Victor Kiriakis on NBC’s hit television series Days of Our Lives for 37 years. Her mother, Nancy Dow, is a model and actress.

The star had a rough childhood when her parents divorced when she was 10 years old. In 1978, after returning home from a friend’s birthday party, Aniston’s mother said her father was busy with work outside the home and would return.

However, Mr. John did not return home. “It was a sad time in my life,” the actor said in a 1999 Rolling Stone interview .

Mrs. Dow tried every way to make her daughter love modeling, even though all the star wanted was to receive attention from her mother. In an interview with Allure in December 2022, she said: “I think divorce changed my mother. At that time, there were no psychological counseling services, so my mother lived with lasting pain. Even though she was still hurt. From the past, I have forgiven my parents.”

The star spent nearly a decade not talking to her mother, not inviting her to her wedding with actor Brad Pitt in 2000. In September 1999, Ms. Dow released her memoir From Mother and Daughter to Friends : A Memoir, tells about the conflict between a grandmother and her daughter.

According to US Magazine , the star and her mother reconciled in 2016. The same year, Ms. Dow died due to complications from strokes. Four years later, Aniston’s father passed away.

Similar to her parents, Aniston did not have a perfect marriage. She and Brad Pitt divorced after seven years of marriage, when Pitt was caught up in rumors of having an affair with Angelina Jolie. Aniston was also rumored by the media to not want to have children.

The star married for the second time with actor Justin Theroux in 2015. Three years later, the two divorced due to lifestyle differences, according to ET .

Although her personal life is not going smoothly, Aniston is constantly developing her career. After playing many small roles in her early career, in 1994, Aniston was given the role of Rachel in the TV series Friends , a turning point that turned her into one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood.

In 2019, the star returned to acting in a television series after 15 years when appearing in The Morning Show. At the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards, she received the win in the Drama Female Lead category.

At the age of 54, instead of following new lifestyle trends, the star chose her own path and turned to meditation. According to Aniston , meditation helps people’s minds relax and have confidence in life

When asked if she was still ready to receive love, the star said: “I’m no longer interested in love, even though I still want someone to comfort me when I’m tired. I went through bad things in my 30s and 40s.” years old. However, I am grateful because those things helped me become the person I am today.”

Aniston does not like social networks because she believes they have a negative influence. “I’m afraid of feeling insecure and angry every time I read comments,” she told Vogue in 2017.

Currently, Jennifer Aniston lives a peaceful life with two dogs named Clyde and Chesterfield in Los Angeles, USA. She told Allure : “For many years, I hid my IVF in hopes of having children. I cowered because I was afraid of scrutiny. This world is full of lies, so I decided to tell the truth. . Now, I feel like I just woke up from hibernation. I have nothing left to hide.”
