While others were busy spending fortunes, Kanye West won big with his $0 Super Bowl commercial!

This recently held Super Bowl 2024 held a lot of stunning surprises for fans, dropping not only the trailer for the massively-anticipated Deadpool 3 but also playing multiple commercials that several brands spent millions on. Yet, stunningly enough, out of all of these, it was Kanye West’s advertisement for his brand ‘Yeezy’ that stood out the most.

What’s even more unbelievable is the fact that this very same commercial of West’s that has been going viral ever since was made on a budget of an incredible $0 while other multi-billionaire and exceptionally renowned brands spent millions of dollars on their advertisements; like how Uber Eats’ spent millions just to bring two former FRIENDS co-stars together for an ad!

Kanye West may have been the epitome of a lot of controversy lately because of his past mistakes including his “unplanned” anti-semitic rants, but he won equally big with the incredibly innovative ‘Yeezy’ commercial he aired this year on the recently held Super Bowl LVIII.

In the 30-second-long commercial that has been going viral on the internet ever since, the singer cum songwriter can be seen promoting his fashion line in the most unlikely manner: Through a seemingly self-shot clip on a phone from what looks like the backseat of a car. In the clip, he says:

“Hey y’all, this is Ye, and this is my commercial, and since we spent all of the money on the commercial spot, we actually – didn’t spend any money on the actual commercial! But the idea is: I want you to go to Yeezy.com. Y-E-E-Z-Y.com. And Imma write it at the bottom of the screen, and I got some shoes, and… mmmm, that’s it.”

This commercial was substantially created to promote Kanye West‘s line of fashion, Yeezy, which recently got a new addition, i.e. Yeezy Pods shoes, along with multiple other graphic tees and pants among others; the above-listed of which are reportedly for $20 each.

As he says in the clip, West notably didn’t spend any money on the commercial itself even though he did reportedly spend nearly $7 million just to get a commercial spot for ‘Yeezy’ at the Super Bowl, considering how a 30-second Super Bowl ad reportedly cost $7 million this year (as per WSJ).

While this commercial of him talking directly into the phone to promote his brand has fans spelling out ‘g-e-n-i-u-s’ for him because of it breaking the internet despite its minimal budget, other brands, in the meanwhile, reportedly spent millions of dollars more just for their respective ads.

Meanwhile, Uber Eats Reportedly Spent Millions More On Its Commercial!

On the one hand, while Kanye West chose the cheaper option and ended up winning big even through that, multiple other multi-billionaire and remarkably renowned brands like Uber Eats, on the other, spent a whopping fortune in millions for the same.

For the Uber Eats commercial aired at the Super Bowl LVIII, fans were given the joy of life as they saw the two former renowned FRIENDS alum, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer, reunite for the screen but only with a stunning twist.

While Aniston promotes Uber Eats by saying “Well, you know what they say, in order to remember something, you’ve got to forget something else,” in the meanwhile, she forgets Schwimmer, with whom she worked for more than a decade of her life.

What’s worth noting about this Aniston-Schwimmer Uber Eats ad is the massive budget that the brand must have invested just to get the commercial onscreen at the Super Bowl. Judging how it was a 60-second ad, just winning one spot must have cost them about $14 million.

Adding to this are the production costs and the compensation they have to pay to the celebrities for the same, which notably mustn’t have been cheap, considering how the commercial featured other celebrities as well, including David and Victoria Beckham, USHER, and Jelly Roll.

Thus, for this one, the ultimate credit for being a genius inevitably goes to Kanye West for not only getting his work done as cheaply as possible but even going viral on the internet after the same!
