Michael Jackson’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, has been cast to play the role of his uncle in the biopic. Jaafar is the son of Jermaine Jackson, Michael’s brother and a member of the renowned Jackson 5.
Born in Encino, California, into a family of musical legends, Jaafar initially envisioned a future as a golf player. However, the allure of the entertainment world proved too strong, given his family background.
The 27-year-old musician and actor has a diverse musical taste that includes an appreciation for film scores and admiration for musical icons like Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Nat King Cole, and Johnny Mathis.
Jaafar embarked on his career at the young age of 12, showcasing his skills as a piano player and gaining insights into the music industry. In 2017, he made his modeling debut and performed alongside his father and brother, Jermajesty, at the MAX Proms event in the Netherlands, where they sang “The Christmas Song” live on stage with the Metropole Orchestra.
