When you think about Jennifer Aniston’s real-estate portfolio in the 1990s, there’s a good chance you’ll envision a surprisingly spacious two-bedroom apartment in New York City’s Greenwich Village. But once the cameras stopped rolling—and the when the Friends star wasn’t hanging out in a certain pretend, purple-walled pied-à-terre—she would retreat to her abode perched atop Los Angeles’s Laurel Canyon. Decades later, Aniston’s former home (yes, the home she lived in when she began to film Friends) has just hit the market for $2.595 million.
For Compass’s Wendy Moore, who is represents the listing, Aniston’s former digs is “a personal favorite.” “The breathtaking views stretch from downtown L.A. to the vast expanse of the ocean, creating a mesmerizing backdrop,” Moore says. “Whether it’s day or night, conversations are often punctuated by the irresistible pull of the cityscape. What sets this property apart is its unassuming charm; it’s been dubbed the Crown Jewel of Laurel Canyon, yet it maintains the laid-back, funky vibe that draws buyers to this neighborhood.”
Truthfully, it’s not hard to see why this home is considered the enclave’s crown jewel. Built in the 1930s, the 5,6984-square-foot lot has four structures: the primary residence, an A-frame guest house, a pool house, and an office-slash-studio. But if the generous space isn’t enough to pique your interest, you’ll be smitten with this home’s exposed beams, sun-drenched windows, and ample outdoor areas.
While it might be the end of an era for the property’s current owner—Aniston has long since moved out and amassed an impressive real-estate portfolio—someone else is bound to find their real-estate lobster in this home. Curious to see more? Read on for an intimate look. (And, just in case it was up for debate, we would never be on a break with this pad!)

From the bright red garage door to the attached basketball hoop and nearby cactus, this home oozes chill vibes well before you even step inside.
The Living Room
SERGII DOLGYI
Not only is this living room outfitted with exposed beams and a cute fireplace, but it’s also pretty spacious. In other words, you can successfully fit an oversize couch in here without having to, you know, pivot.
The Dining Room
SERGII DOLGYI
With sweeping views of downtown Los Angeles, this is one dining room that certainly appeals to all the senses. In our dream world, Aniston would’ve hosted regular dinner parties with (*ahem*) five of her closest friends.
The Kitchen

With a pitched ceiling, wooden countertops, and open shelves, this well-appointed kitchen could turn anyone into an aspiring home chef. Here’s hoping Aniston didn’t make a mismatched meat trifle here!
The Family Room

Aniston’s former home is packed with adorable nooks and crannies that must’ve been designed with kicking back and relaxing in mind. All you need is a big-screen television and you have the perfect place to watch all 10 seasons of Friends on repeat.
The Sitting Area

Since you can’t actually grab a coffee at Central Perk, this little area would be a great place to caffeinate before a big day on set (or at your usual place of business).
The Guest House
SERGII DOLGYI
Thanks to this adorable, A-frame guest house, Aniston had the perfect place to host friends. After all, she’ll be there for you.
The Bedroom

With two bedrooms—including this light and airy space—the main residence feels like a private, personal retreat. This owner’s suite is complete with easy access to the great outdoors and a fireplace.
The Bathroom

With square tiles and a sweet alcove bathtub, this bathroom (one of two bathrooms in the primary residence) is rather humble by celebrity standards. However , you have to admit it’d be a great place to coif “the Rachel.”
The Studio

As a current spokeswoman for Pvolve and Vital Proteins’ chief creative officer, Aniston is well-known as a health and wellness savant. We can only imagine the incredible home gym she must’ve had in this space.
The Office
SERGII DOLGYI
While Aniston might’ve used this spot to read scripts or run lines, this wood-paneled office would make an excellent Zoom background on work-from-home days.
The Backyard

No A-lister home in Los Angeles is complete without a pool—and Aniston’s former digs are no exception. A curvy pool and adjacent spa offer plenty of chances for fun in the sun.
