Anthony Joshua has been accused of ‘losing his head’ by fight fans ahead of his showdown against Otto Wallin on Saturday.

Joshua, who is on a two-fight winning streak, returns to action on the stacked ‘Day of Reckoning’ card in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

He takes on Swedish heavyweight Wallin, who made a name for himself after giving Tyson Fury a scare in their 2019 fight.

On Tuesday, ‘AJ’ took part in the Grand Arrivals, where he spoke to Dev Sahni, Darren Barker and Andy Clarke.

But the former unified world heavyweight champion didn’t have much to say as he cut a figure who is very much in ‘fight mode’.

He kept his answers short and took a swipe at ‘drug cheats’ Jarrell Miller, who is also on the bill, and Dillian Whyte.

The interview, however, didn’t go down well with boxing fans on social media as they slammed the way Joshua carried himself.

One X user wrote: “Definitely feels like the old AJ was all an act.”

A second tweeted: “He’s trying so hard to be focused but it’s the opposite, being focused is being yourself and he’s method acting what he thinks focused is.”

A third defended Joshua: “If AJ is nice and polite, he’s criticised for being fake, media trained and manufactured etc… if he’s more upfront or aggressive, he’s apparently a bellend.”

A fourth added: “The hard man act doesn’t suit him. Glad the mask has finally gone and everyone can see the clown for what he is and always has been.”

Another commented: “Heads gone imo.”

In fairness to Joshua, Dev has previously slated him so he clear hasn’t forgotten. The 34-year-old also gets slated when he carries himself in a very professional manner. So, he can’t win.

Joshua, though, seems extremely focused on the task at hand as he looks to secure a monstrous fight against Deontay Wilder next year.
