Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay slams ‘obnoxious’ Taylor Swift fans at NFL games: ‘Disrespectful to the sport’

“Hate it. There’s no other emotion that comes out of me than hating it.”

If you’re a Taylor Swift fan swarming an NFL game to catch a glimpse of the pop superstar supporting Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, you’re the problem, it’s you — at least according to The Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay.

The reality-show personality stopped by The View‘s companion podcast Behind the Table on Thursday to dish on current events, one of which included her thoughts on the ongoing coverage of Swift’s supposed romance with Kelce and the media circus surrounding it.

“Yeah, hate it. Hate it. There’s no other emotion that comes out of me than hating it,” Lindsay responded when View executive producer Brian Teta asked how she felt about it.

Lindsay, a longtime fan of the NFL, stressed that she adores the sport but lamented the “exhausting” uptick in Swifties obsessing over football solely because it intersects with their favorite pop star’s love life.

“It’s a little obnoxious, the Taylor Swift fans. Love that you’re into the sport, but they’re not — they’re into the Taylor–Travis Kelce of it,” she said. “It’s too much information. The media is playing into it too much. People are coming to games wearing shirts that say ‘Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.’ It’s just a little disrespectful to the sport and to the game and even to Travis Kelce. I know I’m being so negative. I just can’t see the fun.”

Lindsay added that the attention has been “amazing” for Kelce, whom she says “crossed over into a whole new audience” because of Swift’s fanbase. Still, she doesn’t “want to constantly see flashes of [Swift] with [Travis’ mother] Donna Kelce in the suite and whatever famous friends she decides to bring” to the games.

She finished her thoughts by admitting that she understands why people are fixated on both Kelce and Swift, two professionals at the top of their respective fields.

“I get it,” said Lindsay. “I just don’t need it in my face all the time.”

Kelce’s mother similarly expressed light frustration over the chaos of her son’s personal life during a hilariously tight-lipped interview on Today earlier in October.

“Every week it’s like something new. Like, really? I feel like I’m in some kind of an alternate universe,” Donna Kelce told Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie after she was photographed hanging out with Swift at a Chiefs game. “It’s really strange. But it’s fun— it’s a great ride. At times it gets a little annoying, but most of the time people are just so sweet, so kind, so generous. What mother doesn’t want to hear that their kids are great?”
