Brad Pitt accused of ‘looting’ Château Miraval, wasting money on ‘vanity projects’

Angelina Jolie’s former investment company is accusing Brad Pitt and “co-conspirators” of “stripping” and “looting” their formerly owned Château Miraval to regain control.

Nouvel claims the “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” star “wasted” the company’s assets by “spending millions on vanity projects…rebuilding a staircase four times and spending millions to restore a recording studio,” documents obtained by Page Six read.

Attorneys for Nouvel claim in the filing that Pitt’s “misconduct” escalated after the “Tomb Raider” star sold Nouvel in October 2021 to a company controlled by Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler.

“Incensed that Jolie sold Nouvel to Stoli rather than him, Pitt has acted like a petulant child, refusing to treat Nouvel as an equal partner in the business,” the filing states.

A rep for Pitt didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

Page Six previously reported that the famed vineyard’s attorneys mocked Pitt’s “ludicrous” winemaker affectations and laughed at the idea that the actor-sculptor “built” up the winery’s business.

“Pitt is an actor, not a winemaker,” the papers scoff. “He deals in illusions, not dirt and grapes.”

They further argue, “During the years that he allegedly ‘built’ the business, he filmed and appeared in dozens of movies, not to mention making countless promotional appearances, jetting-setting [sic] around the world for movie premieres, and attending Hollywood parties.”

The Oscar-winning actor, 59, and Jolie, 8, bought the French property in 2008 and even married there in an intimate ceremony in 201.

When the now-former couple divorced in 2019, Jolie wanted out of the grape business and started to explore a buy-out option.

The “Unbroken” director even allegedly agreed to divide the company up 68 percent to 38 percent in Pitt’s favor because he had invested more into their 35-room manse.

During summer 2021, Pitt found out via a press release that Jolie had sold her 50 percent stake to a “Russian oligarch,” whom Pitt had previously turned down.

Pitt filed his original lawsuit against the Atelier Jolie founder in February 2022, claiming that she deprived him “of his right to enjoy his private home and to oversee the business he developed from scratch.”

The Oscar-winning actor previously claimed his “vindictive” ex-wife “collaborated in secret” with Shefler, who also owns Stoli Group, to ensure he would be “kept in the dark.”
