Brooklyn Beckham, Nicola Peltz poke fun at family feud rumors for Halloween

Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz playfully addressed rumors of the ongoing feud between their families with their Halloween costumes Wednesday, dressed as Romeo and Juliet for Tings magazine’s festive bash with Booby Tape.

The couple chose to embody the star-crossed lovers from Baz Luhrmann’s 1996 film adaptation of the famous Shakespeare play, with 27-year-old Nicola wearing an elegant white gown and angel wings and 23-year-old Brooklyn as her knight in shining armor.

Page Six exclusively reported in August that Nicola and her new mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham, were embroiled in a “cold war” rife with “non-stop petty drama.”

“They can’t stand each other and don’t talk,” a source close to the family told us at the time. “The build-up to the wedding was horrendous … [Nicola] wouldn’t clue Victoria in on anything. Communication was minimal.”

But another insider from Palm Beach — the hometown of Nicola’s billionaire father, Nelson Peltz, and his wife, Claudia — told us the “Transformers” actress and the former Spice Girl were “just collateral damage” in the matter.

“It’s not just about two women — it’s two families coming together,” they said.

Rumblings of tensions between the Peltzes and Beckhams began when Nicola — who had previously intended to wear a wedding dress designed by mom-in-law Victoria — instead opted for Valentino Haute Couture on her big day.

“I was going to [wear Victoria Beckham] and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress,” Nicola, told Variety in August.

“She didn’t say ‘you can’t wear it;’ I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that.”

As one of our highly placed sources put it, Nicola and Brooklyn have aspirations of launching their own clothing, beauty and fragrance lines to rival Victoria’s — and mega-investor Nelson “can fund anything.”

“There is a reason why Brooklyn and Nicola are now ‘Peltz Beckham.’ It’s all about branding,” they said.

What’s in a name, indeed.
