Brooklyn Beckham shares brand new cooking tutorial with fans after pop-up restaurant launch

David Beckham’s son Brooklyn has shown off his cookery skills in an Instagram video once again, with the former England football captain praising his son’s culinary competence

Brooklyn Beckham has shown off his culinary skills in an Instagram video after recently opening a pop-up restaurant.

The aspiring chef cooked up a storm on social media with the 24-year-old also reaping praise from his father, former England football captain David Beckham, jumping into the comment section to share his thoughts on the food that Brooklyn had produced.

On the menu was a chocolate banana pancake and the video shows Brooklyn tossing the pancake as part of his cooking process. He was looking casual with a slim-fit black T-shirt and grey sweatpants as he took his followers through the recipe. Brooklyn captioned the video: “Chocolate Hazelnut Banana Pancakes made even better with Chosen Foods Avocado Oil. #chosen partner”.

David was certainly impressed, writing in the comment section: “Mmmmmmm looks good bust”. Fans were in agreement with one saying that Brooklyn was outdoing his famous father with his creation. They posted in the comment section: “Sound more like David Beckham than David Beckham (laughing emoji) top man tho, you can cook”.

Brooklyn, who had a go at being a professional photographer, recently launched a pop-up restaurant in East London which will have five dishes influenced by his “global upbringing”. Brooklyn told the Mail about the new venture: “I’ve been lucky enough to live in some pretty cool places. I got my wife on Indian and Chinese takeaway. She’s obsessed with it now. My Nanny Peggy taught me how to make her English Breakfast sandwich when I was five, and it’s been my favourite ever since.”

Brooklyn added: “I’ve always been into trying different foods, cuisines, and cultures, but that was one of my earliest memories of loving cooking. Spending time in the kitchen is definitely something me and my dad bond over… even though I think I make my English Breakfast sandwich better, he does make a pretty good one!”

The menu featured Chicken Tikka Masala, 12-hour slow-cooked Wagyu Bolognese, Pork and Prawn Dumplings and Buffalo Cauliflower with Brooklyn’s ‘secret’ hot sauce and prices start at £10. The pop-up is the latest in a series of Uber Eats Hosts, in which customers are given the chance to dine at “hard-to-access restaurants” and enjoy an unique experience.

There were a few dissenting voices, with TV host Lorraine Kelly not holding back on her thoughts. After the pop-up was announced, the Lorraine host said in response to it being revealed that Brooklyn wouldn’t be actually cooking any of the meals himself: “Oh shut up! What is the point? I’m the worst cook in the world and even I could do that.”
