Some of the biggest names in sport are in attendance at the Day of Reckoning boxing event in Saudi Arabia.

The huge event sees Anthony Joshua take on Otto Wallin and Deontay Wilder face Joseph Parker at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh on Saturday night.

Dmitry Bivol, Jarrell Miller, Daniel Dubois and Lyndon Arthur also feature on the card, attracting a star-studded audience in the Middle East.

Former Manchester United and Real Madrid star Ronaldo and former two-weight UFC champion McGregor are both in attendance and have been sat next to each other at ringside.

Footage has circulated on social media of the pair chatting ahead of the main event and it’s certainly got fans talking.

In the clip, McGregor sits down next to Ronaldo, who doesn’t appear to immediately acknowledge the Irish fighter.

McGregor then leans in towards the five-time Ballon d’Or winner and begins to speak to him about Bivol’s fighting style.

McGregor continues speaking with little response from Ronaldo, who eventually cracks a smile after more than a minute of chat from the UFC fighter.

Fans on social media were quick to comment on the unusual interaction.

“Ronaldo is thinking god save me,” joked one fan.

Another added: “Ronaldo looking so uncomfortable.”

A third wrote: “Cristiano wants no part of that, get him outta there.”

While a fourth joked: “Ronaldo was thinking to himself ‘how did I get here at the first place?'”

Earlier in the night, Ronaldo revealed that boxing is only his third favourite sport.

When entering the event, a reporter asked him if it was his second favourite after football, to which Ronaldo replied: “Third.”

Ronaldo has previously spoken about his love for MMA and the UFC, suggesting that may be his choice for second favourite.

But he could well change his mind after a night sat next to McGregor.
