David Beckham pictured with new look after Lionel Messi leads Inter Miami to first final

David Beckham has gone into his back catalogue of hairstyles and shaved his head days before Inter Miami’s biggest game in their history.

Beckham, 48, has pulled off almost every haircut you could think of during his younger years and continues to change it up. This latest look is a throwback to the 2000s with the buzz cut he was sporting while working wonders for England.

It also became iconic with his days at Manchester United in the years after winning the treble. Beckham also brought the shaved look back later in his career at LA Galaxy.

During his introductory press conference with the MLS club, he had his hair bleached blonde to mark his arrival in California. However, his barnet has stayed natural this time around.

Beckham was spotted sporting the new cut alongside his wife, Victoria while saying their goodbyes to restaurant staff at Lo Scoglio during their holiday in Italy before boarding their boat. Their two youngest children, Cruz and Harper, are also in photographs alongside them.

Originally he shared his new style on social media with a selfie, captioned: “Nothing much changes got bored of my hair chop it off,” punctuated by a crying laughing emoji. The move appears inspired by his middle son, Romeo, who shaved his hair in a nod to Dad just days earlier.

Also sharing a selfie on social media, the footballer, who signed for Brentford ‘s B team this summer, captioned the post by tagging his barber and saying: “Helping me bring back dad’s buzz.”

Beckham Snr acknowledged and even gave the change-up his seal of approval. Resharing the post, he added: “Looking good.”

The buzz cut could soon be attached to another of Beckham’s finest professional achievements. That is because the club he co-owns and is the acting president of, Inter Miami, are heading for the first final in their five-year existence this weekend.

Since signing Lionel Messi this summer, the worst team in MLS have won every game since the World Cup winner’s debut. They are as little as 90 minutes away from lifting their first trophy, the Leagues Cup, seven games into this latest chapter in club history.

Standing between them and silverware are Nashville, who hosts Saturday’s final at their Geodis Park in Tennessee. They have former Nottingham Forest forward Sam Surridge firing for them up front.

Messi has made a mockery of the doubters who were dispelling the idea that he could not turn the team sitting rock-bottom in the regular season standings into one of the top teams across the country. The former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain player has nine goals in only six games.

He is already the record scorer in the Leagues Cup’s relatively recent history. Messi would love to get his team over this final hurdle for his new boss after merely a month on the new job in Miami.
