‘Fight whoever you want’ – One Direction star Liam Payne calls out singer Justin Bieber and YouTuber KSI for bout

LIMA PAYNE has sensationally called out fellow celebs KSI and Justin Bieber for a boxing match.

The One Directioner has been a fan of the sweet science for several years and was recently ringside for Josh Taylor’s controversial defence of his super-lightweight titles against Jack Catterall.

And after having one of the best seats for a world title fight, the 28-year-old wants to step inside the squared circle.

During an appearance on the Impaulsive podcast, Payne said: “If there is a chance for me to jump in the ring and feel gladiatorial in the 21st century I am in.

“I love boxing as a sport and I think it’s fantastic. I would just enjoy the challenge and the road up to it would be great.

Payne is open to fighting whoever is willing to throw down with him but likes the idea of facing KSI or Bieber.

He added: “Yeah I would fight KSI he would have to come down a few weight slots. But yeah I’d fight him. I like him too much though.

“I will fight whoever you want. But I don’t think Justin Bieber would do it.

“For the same reason I wouldn’t fight Trippie Redd, I don’t think he is on my level. But if he did want to do it I would.”

Pop superstar Bieber has been sharpening his skills in preparation for his part in an upcoming film about former fighter turned promoter Dmitriy Salita.

And according to screenwriter Gregory Allen Howard, the Canadian has got some decent hands.

He told the Las Vegas Insider: “From what I’ve seen of Justin Bieber, he has the talent and the boxing skill to crossover from an entertainment background into boxing – he has the ability to become the next Jake Paul.

“I saw Justin spar and he’s got skills. I’m not telling you he’s ready to be the middleweight champion of the world but he’s not bad.

“The hard thing in a boxing movie is to move like a boxer. Justin Bieber apparently was taking some lessons, he was really quite credible.

“There’s a little clip of him on YouTube or something. He’s very credible as a boxer.”

YouTube sensation KSI, meanwhile, is gearing up to make his return to the ring after nearly three years of inactivity.

The Brit will be back in action on August 27 although an opponent for his return has not yet been finalised.
