Taylor Swift 2024 UK tickets: fans have just hours left to register

If trying to buy tickets to a global artist’s concert wasn’t stressful enough fans have just hours left to register for Taylor Swifts 2024 UK tour. Those who don’t will not be able to buy tickets when she performs in London, Liverpool, Cardiff or Edinburgh.

It may sound like a simple step to do but fans have already faced hour long queues just to sign up with their email, and with varying registration pages circulating it’s essential to pick the right one. As a team who regularly joins online queues to try and buy tickets; whether it’s Harry Styles’ Love On Tour, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys and now Taylor Swift, we’ve racked up a fare few tips to get ahead in ticket queues.

The date for the ticket sale is yet to be confirmed but what we do know is that fans have until today, Thursday June 22, to register on Ticketmaster for the upcoming UK sales. Then, fans will be sent an email on July 5th confirming the next steps, which we can only assume will be a type of unique link or access code.

So essentially once registered today all fans have to do is to sit and wait until the July 5th date, but this doesn’t guarantee Taylor fans tickets. Yesterdays registration queues, which took as long as an hour for London dates, and the huge demand seen over in the previous US tour is an indication just how busy the online sales are likely to be.

Below we’ve put together a guid to help fans secure Taylor Swift tickets, including how to register, the different cut offs depending on the venue, price predictions, and our tried and trusted Ticketmaster buying tips.

How to register for tickets

The most important step for ALL fans is to register, this is the only way to be able to buy tickets on Ticketmaster. It’s crucial you get the right link to registration, which is currently on done through Ticketmaster only.

Fans can also register their interest on the Taylor Swift official fan page, but we must emphasise that this is only to receive updates, newsletters and to buy merch. No tickets can be registered for here.

This is what you need to do to register for Taylor Swift tickets:

Step 1 – Head over to the registration page, and fill in the form with your details. Fans can register once per city.
Step 2 – Wait for Ticketmaster authentication process, this is where Ticketmaster selects a number of fans to enter the sale (there is nothing you can do here aprt from wait it out)
Step 3- You will recieve an email from Ticketmaster/ AEG Present on July 5 letting you know if you were selected for the on-sale queue, or put on the waitlist. If selected you will recieve a purchase link and access code via email the day before the sale.
Step 4 – Fans on the waitlist will have to wait to enter the Ticketmaster sale queue until they receive a purchase link and code to join when more tickets become available.

Fans looking to buy register for all of the UK shows; London, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Cardiff have until 23:59 tonight (July 22) to do so. Those interested in the Dublin show have until this Friday, June 23 along with other European dates.

Can I get presale tickets for Taylor Swift?

The answer is simple, no, unless you took part in the Midnights pre-order offer between August and October last year. Fans who did will be emailed a unique access code or link to be able to join the presale queues on Ticketmaster.

This has been frustrating for a few fans as back at this time there was no announcement of a UK tour, however it is designed to benefit the ‘die-hard fans’. Only fans with access to the presale will get sent an invite to join the queue.

Our tried and tested tips to get Taylor Swift tickets

Once you’ve sorted out registration and hopefully get the ping through to say you’re on the on-sale list, these are the things we’d suggest you do. As a team who’s covered global artists sales, which has often seen as many as 300,000 people join the queue, these steps can make a big difference.

Our first tip is to register as a Ticketmaster ‘verified fan’, fans may not notice a difference in registering for this but it helps Ticketmaster’s algorithm distinguish between genuine fans or online bots. Next up is to ensure all fans’ Ticketmaster account details are up to date, including theright banking details, address and full name, if not this would be one of many thing to kick fans out of the queue.

Another tried and tested thing to do is to use Ticketmaster’s mobile app, as well as open up a web browser. As fans will be sent unique access codes we can’t reccomend to open up multiple tabs but two devices is likely to be fine. This is where we come on to one of our most important steps which is ‘do NOT refresh’.

No matter how slow the queue seems to be moving refreshing the browser or closing your mobile app will actually kick you out. The only time which fans could refresh is minutes before the online sale starts.

Our last piece of advice is for all fans to keep an eye on Ticketmaster’s marketplace, or fan-to-fan resale platform. Not only does this have benefits to bag tickets you missed out on in the main sale but the second-hand ticket prices are also regulated, meaning there’s a cap on how much ‘profit’ previous ticketholders can sell on for.

If you don’t find any re-sale tickets now it’s highlighy likely that more will become available closer to the 2024 dates.
