Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s high-school photos have been released and it’s more than fair to say that they were very different at the time despite being the same age of 34.

At the time, the Grammy-winning singer was on her path to musical international stardom in 2008. By then she had already released Taylor Swift and was set to release Fearless, which debuted in November that year and produced her iconic, Love Story song.
Fearless went on to spend 11 weeks total at number one on the Billboard 200 whilst it holds the record for the most top-40 entries on the Billboard Hot 100, selling 3.2m copies in the USA within a year of its release.
Meanwhile Kelce was at Cleveland Heights High School deciding which professional sports career he wanted to take on between baseball, football and basketball. At six-feet, five-inches tall and already weighing quite a lot, the eventual two-time Super Bowl champion was built for roles in all three.
But he later chose a shot at the NFL and it has worked out for him, yielding a net worth in the region of $20m, Super Bowl rings in 2019 and 2023, and of course, his relationship with Taylor Swift that began to bloom in late 2023.
Fans react
Fans, naturally, were all over the release of the younger versions of America’s latest power couple and took to X, formerly Twitter, to discuss the photos.
“They both look like they walked out of highschool musical,” one user wrote on the social media platform.
“The best thing about it is that they were like that ACTUALLY AT THE SAME TIME cause they were both born in 1989… I love that,” a second user added.
“They would have for sure gone to homecoming together,” a third speculated.
“Prom king & queen but they’ve never spoken to each other a single day in their whole life and now they have a dance together and fall madly in love,” a fourth declared.
