Taylor Swift’s sweet act at Super Bowl that left Travis Kelce’s dad impressed
Travis Kelce’s dad, Ed, was taken by surprise when he first met Taylor Swift. He didn’t recognise her at first, but was soon won over by her warm and gracious personality.
Travis introduced his girlfriend to his family in October, and his dad was particularly impressed by one of Taylor’s actions. Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, Ed said: “She’s probably the most famous person in the world, but she doesn’t seem like it, she’s so warm and so gracious.”
Ed was amazed when Taylor picked up some rubbish left by him and his friends during the Super Bowl. He said: “I was so shocked that during the Super Bowl, my buddies and I left some rubbish near us, and when Taylor got up, she stopped and picked it all up and put it in the trash. I thought that spoke volumes.

“This is someone with celebrity power like no other, but she comes from a good family and spent time with her mother and her brother; they’re good folk.”
Travis and Taylor have been together for nearly seven months now. The pop superstar revealed they started dating around August, before she attended a Chiefs game in late September.
Their relationship has gone from strength to strength since then. Taylor has spent a lot of time with Travis while taking a break from her worldwide tour – she’s been to 13 NFL games that he’s played in and has spent time at his home in Kansas City.
Ed shared a funny story about not recognising the famous singer when he first met her at Travis’ house. He said: “I was at Travis’ house, and I didn’t recognise her, my girlfriend was not impressed with me!”

Since that time, Ed has joined Swift at several NFL games, including the Super Bowl where he got to meet Swift’s parents and had a chat with Scott Swift – Taylor’s dad.
He said: “Scott played college football, so he was really into it; I think he likes that his daughter is dating a football player and not a musician. She loves football so much, and she sets a good example during games.”
When asked if his son plans to see Swift perform live soon as she starts another part of her tour – which will take her across the globe throughout spring and summer 2024, he replied: “Well, look, we spoke after the Super Bowl, and I asked him, are you going to take off for Sydney, and he seemed keen. He said he’d really like to see Sydney and Singapore, but he wasn’t sure because he has commitments. He is at a celebrity charity golf outing today, which, I think, is in Las Vegas.”
