Victoria and David Beckham ‘forget’ about the Spice Girls in cheeky new advert

An impressive collection of A List stars have gathered together for a new Uber Eats advert – with David and Victoria Beckham among those featured.

This weekend, the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs will clash for the title at the Super Bowl LVIII at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Every year, brands throw huge sums of money at creating adverts to feature during the sporting event – which pulls in over 100 million viewers.

In the run up to the event, Uber Eats has unveiled their own Super Bowl related advert – hoping it will remind sport fans to call on them to deliver items while the sport is playing. As well as 48-year-old David and 49-year-old Victoria, Hollywood icon Jennifer Aniston, 54, is also included in the advert.

The actress appears on screen in a film set, being delivered an Uber Eats delivery bag stuffed full of flowers. She gasps: “Thank you!” while the film set assistant remarks: “I didn’t know you could get all this stuff on Uber Eats. I need to remember that.”

Jen then says: “Well, you know what they say. In order to remember something, you’ve got to forget something else. Make a little room.” The sketch-like commercial then shows various celebrities and actors then realising they’ve forgotten things – with Dave and Vicky poking fun at themselves as they struggle to remember what band the Spice Girls singer used to be a member off.

David remarks: “Remember when you used to be a Pepper Lady?” Victoria then comments: “Wasn’t it the Cinnamon Sisters?” David then suggests: “Basil Babes?” And Victoria suggests: “Paprika Girls?” Only for David to laugh: “No… that’s absurd.” Footage later cuts back to Jennifer Aniston being greeted by f.r.i.e.n.d.s colleague David Schwimmer, 57, – the pun being that she had forgotten him. A tag at the end of the commercial shows pop superstar Usher lamenting: “I hope I get to play a half time show some day, man.” The 45-year-old music legend is, of course, booked to perform the half-time show this very weekend.

The sporting event risks being overshadowed this weekend, however, as 34-year-old Taylor Swift is tipped to take to the stands to watch her Kansas City Chiefs playing boyfriend Travis Kelce take to the pitch. The Lavender Haze singer has caused a storm every time she has turned up to watch the 34-year-old tight end on the pitch – as she often draws more attention than the game as cameras cut to show her enthusiastically cheering on the star player.

A number of other celebrities are expected to take part in performances around the Super Bowl game on Sunday night. Andra Day, Post Malone, Reba McEntire and Tiësto are all scheduled to perform at other points during the game on top of Usher’s show stopping mid-game performance.
