Victoria Beckham gave an insight into the jovial side of her marriage as she poked fun at her husband David when he stumbled in front of millions.

The 49-year-old former Spice Girl seized the opportunity to mock her 48-year-old other half when he slipped on rainwater in a packed stadium, during Inter Miami’s presentation yesterday.

The incident was amplified by social media as the clip went viral around the world, although Dave himself did manage to avoid stacking it on the floor.

The former Man United star was at Inter Miami’s DRV PNK Stadium in Florida on Monday to celebrate the signing of world class footballer Lionel Messi to the Inter Miami CF team.

The ceremony – which took place in front of a sold out crowd of 20,000 – was delayed due to extreme weather conditions, with torrential rain and thunderstorms holding up the celebrations.

When the moment came for 36-year-old Lionel to be welcomed on stage, David – who is the president and co-owner of Inter Miami CF – slipped as he walked out onto a platform towards the World Cup winning star.

While Dave managed to avoid completely falling over, his slip was noticed on social media – and not least by his wife Vicky who jumped on the chance to joke about it.

Sharing a TikTok footage of the almost fall via her own Instagram Stories feed – which has over 30 million followers – the clip was captioned: “David Beckham slips at Messi’s presentation” along with a laughing emoji. The fashion designer then joked: “He’s not a natural on the catwalk.”

Lionel sounded excited to be joining the team and gave a speech about his return to the sport.

He gushed: “I really want to start training, to compete.

“I have the same desire that I always had to compete, to want to win, to help the club continue to grow.

“I am very happy to have chosen to come to play in this city with my family, to choose this project and I have no doubt that we are going to enjoy it a lot.

“We are going to have a good time and very good things are going to happen.”

He went on: “Thank you very much. First of all I want to thank all the people of Miami for this welcome, this affection. I want to thank you for the kindness and love that you have given me. This has happened so fast.

“I am very happy to be here, to be with you. I want to thank Jose (Mas, Miami co-owner), David (Beckham) for the welcome.

“They are making everything easy for us, everything has been spectacular since we arrived. I really want to start training and compete. I want to win for the club to continue growing.

“I hope that you will join us as you have since the season began. I thank my new colleagues for the welcome.”
