Why West Africa became David Beckham’s most haunted charity location

HE TAKES philanthropy very seriously, and has supported UNICEF for over a decade amongst other charities, and it looks like David Beckham is going to led his support to another charitable cause.

The 39-year-old former footballer is set to front a campaign to stop the spread of deadly disease Ebola.

A representative for UNICEF confirmed exclusively to the Daily Express Onine this morning the star agreed to support their Ebola campaign, and has been a Goodwill Ambassador since 2005.

David is reportedly filming a video to be shown across West Africa, with the help of UNICEF, outlining ways of preventing the spread of the disease.

Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, the Sierra Leone Football Association president Isha Johansen said: “To have David Beckham involved in this campaign is massive for us and we are so grateful to him.

In Sierra Leone football is a religion.

“All men, women and children follow a player or a team from the Premier League but David Beckham is the favourite.”

Lord Robert Winston said Ebola could mutate into an airborne virus that is caught like a common cold during a House of Lords debate yesterday.

The TV scientist was reacting after Health Minister Earl Howe insisted the risk to British people “remains low” at the House of Commons.

Labour’s Lord Winston argued: “I am slightly concerned about the possible risk of seeming a little complacent about saying that this is low-risk.
