Michael Jackson’s father confirmed star had ‘a third son’

Joe Jackson, Michael Jackson’s father, later verified rumors that his son had a “secret son” from before the couple’s children were born. Paris Jackson has since discussed her relationship with her “elder brother” publicly.

As early as the year 2000, rumors started circulating that Michael Jackson had fathered a second child in the ’80s. The Oslo-based Norwegian family welcomed their son, Omer Bhatti, into the world in 1984. Omer and his family uprooted from Oslo and headed to California, USA, to take a job with the Jackson family after spending time with Michael. On February 21, 2002, Blanket Jackson was born, and Omer’s mother Pia Bhatti was employed as a nanny for her.

Overdosing on a combination of medications prescribed by Michael’s doctor led to his death on June 25, 2009.

Joe Jackson, Michael’s father, virtually confirmed his son’s relationship with Omer a little over a month later, in July 2009.

As Joe spoke to TV One about Omer, he affirmed, “Yes, I knew he had another son, yes I did.”

Aside from looking like a Jackson, he also has Jackson-level dancing skills, he said. The lad has incredible dancing skills. Actually, he’s a dancing teacher.

Omer, who was 25 years old at the time, would be welcomed into the Jackson family if their familial relationship could be established, according to Michael’s brother Jermaine Jackson earlier in the same month.

“If Omer’s his son, he’s his son,” he told The Daily Mail. Nothing will be denied.

Just like we do for Prince, Paris, and Blanket, we will shower him with love and attention. I saw this child with him, but I can’t say for sure that he is Michael’s.

As a child, Omer would pretend to be Michael Jackson and play the role of a young impersonator.

Michael, he added later, “adopted” him.

But Pia, his mother, “denied” that the King of Pop was his father.

Everyone in the family, not just Joe and Jermaine, welcomed Omer with open arms.
