Watch As Cardi B Teases New Music and Reveals Her Plans For New Years Eve with Nicki Minaj Struggles with Anxiety Since Becoming a Mother

Cardi B is already focused on what’s to come in 2024. On Wednesday, November 15, Fontainbleau and LIV Miami announced its plans for a live performance from the Grammy award-winning rapper during its annual New Years Eve party on Sunday, December 31.

The lavish celebration will feature sounds from Gryffin and will take place at the luxury hotel’s massive poolside space.

Tickets for the event have been on sale since November 1, but fans didn’t know who would headline the party. The announcement comes just days after she revealed her plans to drop new music before the end of the year

Earlier this week, the Bronx native hosted a conversation on X’s Spaces where she opened up about wanting to be more quiet and private before her long-awaited sophomore album arrives. That’s when she dropped the bomb on her loyal fans.

“I don’t know. Maybe I should just put a lil’ something something out before the year ends,” Bardi said as she pondered about the idea. “Would y’all mind if I just do, like, a video? If I do a music video that’s just probably in my kitchen because I don’t really have nothing planned for, like, right now. I don’t know. I’ll think about it by the end of the day. I don’t know. I just feel like I gotta talk my s**t a little bit. You know what I’m saying?”

Cardi B has knocked out plenty of collaborations throughout the year. Despite all her guest verses, she’s only dropped one of her own songs “Bongos” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. During an interview with The Breakfast Club, Cardi said that she plans to release her album in early 2024 and immediately go into tour mode.

Nicki Minaj Reveals Struggles with Anxiety Since Becoming a Mother

Nicki Minaj opened up about life as a mother in the newest cover story for Vogue magazine.

The rapper welcomed a son – whose name she has not yet revealed – with husband Kenneth Petty – on September 30, 2020.

Nicki, 40, posed with her three-year-old, whom she revealed she gave him the nickname ‘Papa Bear,’ in the shoot.

The artist cradles her sleeping son in her arms as she sports a rose hued jacket.

Nicki said of her son: ‘I look in my son’s face, and my whole soul lights up.’

‘You know that feeling when you unlock one of the secrets of life? For me the the idea of accepting what you can’t change – it just never clicked with me before,’ she explained.

Nicki continued: ‘You want to have control over everything, but that’s the easiest way to be unhappy. So now, if I find myself trying to control it all, I try to remember what’s really important.’

‘I look in my son’s face, and my whole soul lights up. He has no clue how nerve-wracking it’s been for me to be a mother and an artist,’ the rapper added.

For the cover image, Nicki donned a cream hued satin dress with a ruched accent on one hip.

The dress featured a draped neckline, highlighted her ample cleavage.

Nicki also sported a sheer yellow gown with lace floral accents; the low-cut number showcased her curvy figure.

The beauty also donned a burgundy turtleneck with coordinating underwear, adding black tights.

She was photographed by Norman Jean Roy for Vogue.

Her husband Kenneth Petty knew her before she was famous.

The couple married in 2019 but he was previously a high school flame of hers, and grew up blocks from her in Queens, New York City.

She told the magazine there is an ‘ease’ with her husband, since she has known him for so long.

Kenneth and Nicki lost touch for years, and reconnected in 2018.

They first met at LaGuardia High School and they dated briefly as teenagers.

Kenneth is a registered sex offender; he was convicted of first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl in 1995, for which he was sentenced to four years in prison.

He is considered a level-two offender in the state of New York, which equates to him being considered a ‘moderate risk of repeat offense.’

Petty was pulled over by the Beverly Hills Police Department in November 2019, and discovered he was a registered sex offender in New York, though he had not registered in California when he moved, which he’s required to do.

Petty plead guilty at the time; Prosecutors were recommending 15 months of prison time and five years of supervised release, and not a home detention, since he lived with Nicki in a gated community in Calabasas, which they contended was not much of a ‘punishment.’

The judge ultimately disagreed, sentencing Kenneth to one year of in-home detention, plus three years of probation, and a $55,000 fine.

In 2002, he also pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the death of Lamont Robinson and was sentenced to 10 years but released after seven years in 2013.

Nicki’s upcoming album –  Pink Friday 2 – is set to be released on December 8.

The star’s album will be the sequel to her debut album called Pink Friday, released in 2010.

Pink Friday 2 will be Nicki’s first album in five years; it is her fifth studio album.
