Dua Lipa was in full training season for her Grammys performance — and we’re not just talking about her forthcoming single.

The singer shook the 2024 Grammys stage on February 4, opening up the ceremony with an electric performance of her new song “Houdini,” along with debuting her next song, “Training Season.” Lipa’s energetic performance was backed by her dancers and a jungle-gym-type structure that she eventually climbed onto. But on top of singing both songs that are a part of her mysterious third studio album, Lipa gave fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the actual training she went through to perfect that Grammy performance.

In a recent TikTok video, Lipa showed off rehearsals for the big day, including practicing sliding on her knees over, and over, and OVER again. The video showed multiple days of the singer sliding, along with a shot from the actual Grammys performance. At the end of the video, Lipa is shown icing her knees on the rehearsal stage, saying “My knees [are] f*cked.” But ever the hard worker, Lipa is laughing while saying it and taking it all in stride. Lipa also posted another video of her goofing off on set while also icing her knees and wrapping her ankles.

Dua Lipa recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and spoke about her very detailed schedule — which includes everything from showering to watching Succession. “I like being in control,” Lipa said about her schedule. Kimmel also commented on Lipa’s new album release date still being kept under wraps, but then jokingly suggested that it would drop on Leap Day.

“I can’t reveal my secrets,” Lipa said. However, she did reveal that she started writing this new album in 2021 in a notebook and wrote 97 songs in total. She joked that about 80 of them are “terrible.”

“Aren’t you terrified that this is gonna get lost somehow?” Kimmel asked while holding her actual song notebook.

“Yes, petrified,” Lipa said. “I’m sweating at the idea of this book being in your hands.”

“Training Season” comes out on February 15.
