Emma Watson did not expect Rupert Grint to have sincere words in Return to Hogwarts. The actor is known to be a man of few words and rarely shows emotions.

The reunion show of the Harry Potter cast after 20 years was broadcast in early January. Fans of the series were excited by what the stars shared. Even the main character, Emma Watson, was surprised.

In an interview with Vogue magazine , “witch Hermione” said the reunion in early January was the most emotional moment of her life. The actress was especially surprised by Rupert Grint’s sincere sharing.

“We are family forever. You and I have a strong bond and are part of each other’s lives. I love you – as friends,” the actor, hugging Watson, said on the show.

Emma Watson said she was surprised by her co-star’s vulnerability. In her eyes, Rupert Grint is a strong, quiet person.

“I believe Rupert meant it when he said these words. I was shocked when he decided to say it publicly. The same goes for Dan. I was touched to know that he thought I was a different girl,” said the star of Beauty and the Beast. Monster told Vogue.

Previously, in a special reunion program, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson admitted that they had difficulties during the film production process and considered quitting their jobs. They find it overwhelming to be famous at a young age.

“It was while filming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Things started to become too difficult for all of us,” Emma Watson recalled.

Rupert Grint says he feels similar to Emma Watson. He always thought about quitting his job but never told anyone about it. After many years, the cast realized they shared the same feelings and thoughts.

During the conversation, Emma Watson said the three still keep in touch as relatives. Rupert Grint often sends Emma Watson photos of the actor’s daughter when she is sad.
