Helena Bonham Carter showed off her quirky style as she left the BBC Studios on Wednesday alongside fellow actor Bill Nighy.

The actress, 57, is known for her eclectic outfits and eye-catching ensembles and the star didn’t disappoint for her outing.

Donning a simple black blouse and long black blazer style coat, the One Life star accessorised her look with a large red bow pinned to her chest which she clashed with a dark green white-spotted scarf.

Scraping her hair back in an unruly pony tail, she secured her locks with a black scrunchie while also balancing her pale pink glasses on her head.

Donning all black she opted for a long black skirt with pink ribbon stripes and bared the cold as she wore socks instead of tights and some simple black trainers.

The pair previously worked together on 2014 thriller action film Turks & Caicos which saw Bill play the role of Johnny, an ex-MI5 officer who discovers a dead body.

Bill Nighy sparked romance rumours with Anna Wintour back in May after the pair took to the red carpet together at the Met Gala.

The Vogue editor, 73, attended on Bill’s arm, prompting talk after years of speculation that they’re an item.

However, a representative for Bill poured cold water on the rumours as they announced the next day: ‘Bill and Anna have simply been great friends for two decades. They are not in a relationship.’

The pair met back in the early 2000s and have been seen together numerous times over the years.

In 2010, 2012 and 2013 the not-a-couple sat together at the Nicole Farhi fashion show in London.

On all occasions they greeted each other with a kiss and whispered in each others ears.

Meanwhile Helena is currently in a relationship with academic Rye Dag Holmboe, 36, who is 21 years her junior.

She has been dating the art historian for five years following her split from film director Tim Burton, after meeting at a wedding in 2018.

Last year, speaking to the Daily Mail, Helena admitted she feels ‘very lucky’ to have met Rye.

However, she added that she’s in no hurry to exchange vows, pointing out: ‘I wasn’t married the first time.’

Helena and her former long-term partner, director Tim, 65, famously lived in inter-connecting houses during their 13-year relationship, with each property decorated to their own his ‘n’ hers tastes and personal styles.

However, the Daily Mail reported in 2021 that she had made the step of choosing to share a home with Rye, even adding to their domestic bliss by adopting house rabbits.

Explaining how they met, she told The Guardian: ‘A totally random thing, which both of us nearly didn’t go to, so it was one of those moments that was so chance and ended up determining so much. A really happy accident, and it’s an amazing thing.’
