Over the weekend, a large number of Montanans had the truly memorably chance to meet the much-loved American actor, Jason Momoa.

It was a special visit Momoa made with co-creator Blaine Halverson to promote his new vodka brand called ‘Meili Vodka’. The vodka-brand is especially interesting for Montanans because the majority of ingredients are made right in Gallatin Valley.

To get a firsthand look at how much excitement the visit caused in Belgrade, NonStop Local attended the meet and greet and had the opportunity to speak with Sarah Sacci, the General Store Manager of Belgrade Liquor where the event was held. She described how, despite the suddenness of the visit, their team – and the community – made the day a huge success.

“…and we had three weeks’ notice–so that was super fun! We pre-ordered as many cases as we could – there was a lot of good promotion – I think that was done for us because everybody was so excited that Jason It was coming,” said Sacci. ‘The Belgrade Liquor team is here in full force, and we had dozens of volunteers as well to help pull this off… So, it’s a lot of good. It’s a lot of good vibes in one package.”

Momoa held the event at Belgrade Liquor with business partner, Blaine Halverson. He and Momoa have been longtime friends, and both say they felt it important to create a brand with ingredients that come from Gallatin Valley.

Jason Momoa was reportedly even seen in Bozeman the night before the event – and according to a firsthand account from a NonStop Local director who attended a local comedy show there – Momoa carried comedian Michael Longfellow on stage at the start of his comedy routine.

Montana showed up and showed out at the event which was reportedly a huge success for the brand – Jason posted to social media celebrating the amazing turnout!
