Post-BAFTAs and pre-final day of London Fashion Week, actors and auteurs, models and mavericks descended on Annabel’s for British Vogue’s annual Fashion & Film Party with Tiffany & Co. on 18 February. After a transformative year for female directors and producers, this year’s event was fittingly hosted by a quintet of women:
British Vogue’s head of editorial content Chioma Nnadi, a West End-bound Cara Delevingne, Oscar winner Emerald Fennell, Emmys darling Ayo Edebiri, and BAFTA nominee Emily Blunt. The party—the first since Nnadi’s historic appointment at the helm of the magazine— was as star-studded as it was celebratory:
Dua Lipa danced the night away with Callum Turner (“Training Season”, it seems, is well and truly over); Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page and Nicola Coughlan caught up, while Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Mia McKennaBruce celebrated their BAFTA wins; and Central Cee came face to face with Skepta, whom the Brit nominee has called his greatest influence. And on the fashion front?
Designers including Harris Reed, Charlie Casely-Hayford, and Molly Goddard brushed shoulders with It-Brits like Jourdan Dunn and Alexa Chung along with runway regulars who had decamped to London for the occasion, from Precious Lee to Kaia Gerber. And while an ice storm’s worth of Tiffany & Co. diamonds ensured the evening exceeded its glamour quotient, Annabel’s was given a Vogue makeover for the occasion, too.
Ferried from the Royal Festival Hall to Berkeley Square in a fleet of BMWs, guests stepped into a club filled with rose-and-mimosa sculptures courtesy of Blooming Haus and scented with Diptyque’s cult Vetiver candles, while Zezi Ifore manned the decks in the Rose Room and Zuri Marley DJed for the crowds in the Jungle Bar. As for the cocktails: bartenders shook up drinks ranging from The Saltburn (a saltrimmed, Patrón-based margarita) to the Cygnet 22-spiked Fashion Editor’s Delight to Oppentinis (a decidedly explosive combination of Grey Goose, coffee liqueur and espresso). And for the grand finale? Shy Girl and SG Lewis took to the stage in the
“The BAFTAs are such a big night for the British film industry, and it feels extra special that this year London Fashion Week coincides with the awards show and is celebrating a major milestone too–its 40th anniversary,” said Nnadi. “So it all feels quite auspicious to be hosting my first Fashion & Film party this time. I’m especially excited and honored to be joined by such a talented line-up of co-hosts: Cara Delevingne, Emerald Fennell, Ayo Edebiri, and Emily Blunt. I’m a huge fan of all of them.”
