James, 39, will start for Team West alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luka Doncic, Kevin Durant, and Nikola Jokic during the 2024 NBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He received 5,098,872 fans votes, the most among Western Conference players — making him the team’s captain.

Only Milwaukee Bucks star and Team East captain Giannis Antetokounmpo garnered more fan votes (5,427,874) than the four-time NBA champion.

James was touched by the All-Star voting results, which were revealed on Thursday night.

“I give credit and a lot of respect to my fans who have been along with me through this whole 21-year journey,” he said after the Lakers’ 141-132 over the Chicago Bulls, via ESPN.

“And voting me in as an All-Star starter for the 20th-consecutive time, just very humbled.

“Very blessed to be able to do what I love to do and just try to give back, give back to the game that’s given me over two decades.

” So, to be able to know this is the first time ever in NBA history to have this many All-Star starts or whatever the case might be, it’s very cool.”

LeBron added: “I’ve exceeded anything that I ever dreamed about being in the NBA. And I did that a long time ago.

“Everything else is just kind of extra credit. I’m very humbled by still being able to play the game I love and have these accomplishments along the way.”

James’ accomplishment reignited the NBA GOAT debate on social media with NBA fans pointing out that the Lakers star has received many more All-Star selections than Michael Jordan (14).

“Greatest ever to do it,” one wrote.

“Something Jordan couldn’t do,” another added.

“Great achievement. His longevity is unreal. King James!” a third said.

“The man is just incredible,” one wrote.

James has earned an All-Star nod in all but his rookie season.

He averages 24.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 1.3 steals over 41 games in 2023-24.
