A $400,000 eight-acre site was transformed by Patrick and Brittany Mahomes into an opulent home fit for a king — the king of Kansas City, that is.

August 2020 saw Patrick sign a $450 million, 10-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. The following month, he spent a portion of the funds to buy the land.

“When I signed my contract here in Kansas City, I actually decided to get the land, to get ready to build that right,” the NFL player stated on Netflix’s “Quarterback.” “I knew I wanted to be here, so I signed a 10-year extension.”

“I reasoned that since I would be here anyhow, I might as well build the exact house I want at the time I did that.”

Completed in February 2023, the house has a movie theater, a huge fish tank, an indoor basketball court, a cutting-edge home gym, and, of course, a trophy case.

Black cabinets, a white and gray marbled island, chrome hardware, and matching cutting-edge equipment complete their sleek, modern kitchen.

The precise square footage of the house is unknown, but aerial photos show that it can accommodate their family of four as well as a large number of guests, including Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, who are close friends.

But that is only the interior. Along with these additions, the couple built a 50-yard football field with their last name spelled out in the end zone, a big pool and hot tub, a private pond, and a par-3 golf course.

In the documentary, Brittany stated, “Finally, we are going to have a home that we built and has everything we could have ever dreamed of having.”

The couple, who began dating in high school, gave viewers a peek of the house when it wasn’t done on the show, but they have since refrained from posting pictures of the opulent property online.

Their enormous mansion in Cass County isn’t their only striking asset, though.

Over the years, 28-year-olds Patrick and Brittany have accumulated a sizable real estate portfolio; however, they recently sold a handful of the properties, including their first Kansas City condo, for about $550,000.

The parents with two children paid $1.8 million in January 2019 for a mansion with three bedrooms and four bathrooms; they reportedly spent $400,000 refurbishing it.

Covering more than 4,300 square feet, the “contemporary ranch” had a 500-bottle wine room, a home gym, a special “shoe room,” a pool and hot tub, and an outdoor putting green.

While they waited for the construction of their current home, the house turned out to be the ideal place for them to settle down. The house was listed over the summer by Patrick and Brittany, and it sold last month for slightly less than $3 million.

In March 2020, the couple paid $3.37 million for a mansion in their native state of Texas with four bedrooms and seven bathrooms.
