Fans have lashed out at the programme amid a ‘bullying’ storm
BRITAIN’S Got Talent audience member has spilled the beans on a “fake” part of show after fan complaints.
Over the years, many viewers have questioned the over-exaggerated audience reaction and doubted its authenticity.

Now, one mega-fan has claimed that the audiences reaction is pre-recorded, suggesting the ITV show films general reaction shorts first.
One viewer wrote on X: “The audience on BGT are so cringe,” with a laughing emoji.
This person replied: “I’ve been in the audience…they make you pre-record your reactions.”
This is not the first time that the over-the-top audience reaction has been called out.
A viewer previously wrote: “I’m convinced producers tell audience members to exaggerate their reactions on BGT.
“There’s been a lot of talk about this show being fixed lately, and having that in mind, it gives you a new perspective when seeing audience reactions to acts..I’m sat here with a straight face through all the acts but seeing the way some of the people react is crazy.”
This person shared: “Yes of course they do. The audience are fluffed to within an inch of their lives by warm up acts, they’re told to react big, and the gallery directors will be getting the camera ops to focus on the most demonstratively excited audience members.”
While this viewer said: “I assume most of the reactions don’t match the performance. They just mix and match to serve their own agenda.”
“They record audience reactions and splice them back in later at appropriate points,” another added.
The Sun has contacted ITV for comment.
It comes after fans have lashed out at the programme amid a ‘bullying’ storm with the show’s latest Golden Buzzer act.
Some viewers of the ITV talent contest have been left unhappy with the show’s live audiences and have accused them of bullying the judges in a shock move.
Big problem
Saturday night’s show saw a beatboxing group called Sarukani, a drone operator called Keiichiro Tani and then dance troupe Cyberagent Legit – who are all from Japan.
Despite there being no rules about where acts come from, some disgruntled fans took to X to complain.
One person moaned: “Did ITV get a group booking for a flight from Japan? Or is this Japan’s got Talent?
“Can Ofcom look at this like the trade descriptions act?! A very misleading name for a TV show!”
Another person raged: “They must think people are stupid, they fly a hand picked dance group from Japan and then give them the golden buzzer so they can come straight over for the semi finals, fix.”
While someone else said: “Did #BGT charter a flight from Japan for this series?”
The group – which features dancers between 20 and 28 – performed a routine choreographed to their own original music.
The judges were mesmerised and gave them a standing ovation.
Simon Cowell told them: “Amazing! That was fantastic, that was my favourite act of the day actually. Really, really, really good.”
The audience then cheered for him to give them his golden buzzer until he eventually agreed, which caused the group to jump up and down with joy.
