NFL Fans Were Cringing Over JJ Watt & Molly Qerim’s Awkward Moment On Live TV (VIDEO + TWEETS)

Sorry, J.J. Watt fans. As much as we’d like to see it, the future Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee is NOT joining forces with Pat McAfee.

The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year retired from football following his second season with the Arizona Cardinals. It remains to be seen what lies ahead for the 34-year-old following a decorated 12-year career.

During Watt’s appearance on ESPN’s “First Take” earlier this week, Molly Qerim briefly got some viewers excited when she congratulated the Houston Texans’ legend on becoming a co-host on McAfee’s popular TV program.

A surprised Watt shut it down and jokingly asked if there’s a contract that he didn’t know about. Qerim stated that she was told this, but Watt did add that he’s open to working with McAfee.

Ex-Green Bay Packers linebacker and Super Bowl 45 champion A.J. Hawk appears occasionally on McAfee’s program. At this time, there’s no indicator that McAfee has actually decided to remove and replace Hawk.

Watt was drafted 11th overall by the Texans in what turned out to be one of the greatest NFL draft classes ever. Watt won Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2012, 2015 and 2015. Renowned for his incredible generosity and charitable acts off the field, the five-time Pro Bowler was also the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award winner in 2017.
