However, Kobe’s name has been dragged into numerous cheating allegations scandals, and he had once admitted being unfaithful to Vanessa.

Therefore, their relationship was not all fairytale-like, it had problems that the two worked out with.

One of the most infamous controversies that involves Kobe is the se*al assault case of 2003. Katelyn Faber who was 19-year-old alleged that Kobe r*ped her in the hotel where she was working as a front desk staff.

On the other hand, Kobe refused to have any connection with her. However, as the case proceeded, Kobe admitted that the two had a se*ual encounter but he maintained the ground that it was consensual.

Furthermore, Vanessa was by Kobe’s side throughout the controversy. In a public appearance, Kobe apologized to her for putting her and the family through this. Additionally, he stated, “I sit here before you guys embarrassed and ashamed for committing adultery”. The two fought together, and Kobe reinvented himself in front of the world.

Despite promising Vanessa that he would change, Kobe Bryant allegedly cheated on her with multiple women after the se*al assault case. The Black Mamba was linked with women like Vanessa Curry, Saana Latham, Jessica Burciaga, etc. Furthermore, it was alleged that Kobe slept with girls from the cheerleading team of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Additionally, Vanessa got to know about Kobe’s exploits from the basketball wives of the NBA. Turns out, Kobe’s teammates who used to witness him cheating on his wife spoke about it with their wives. Furthermore, they decided to tell Vanessa about what was happening behind her back.

Vanessa Bryant filed for divorce from Kobe Bryant

Vanessa Bryant and Kobe Bryant were together until the Lakers star’s unfortunate death in 2020. However, their marriage reached almost a dead-end in 2011. Vanessa filed for divorce from Kobe citing “Irreconcilable differences” as the reason. However, as per numerous reports, this was due to the numerous infidelity and the recent one was the last straw.

A source told TMZ, “She’s been dealing with these incidents for a long time and has been a faithful wife, but she’s finally had enough”. Vanessa would have received at least a whopping $75 million and three mansions as the divorce settlement as the two did sign a prenup.

The two worked things out and officially announced that they had reconciled and looking forward to their future together. Vanessa and Kobe welcomed two more children after this and had a loving family that they were parenting well. After Kobe’s sudden death, Vanessa stood strong and started working towards the dreams that they saw together.
