While ESPN goes through layoffs, they opted not to renew betting analyst Doug Kezerian’s contract, as it was reported earlier this month.

Tuesday would mark the final chapter for him following an 11-year run at ESPN. Unfortunately, his contract renewal came at a time when the company is in the midst of massive layoffs that have seen some top talent walk out the door.

The sports betting insider, who was the host of “Daily Wager,” had this to say after recording his last show for the network:

“Today was my final show at ESPN. I won’t even attempt to capture 11 amazing, life-changing years in a single tweet. In short, I want to thank everyone. I truly am so fortunate. Along those lines, I am very excited for the next chapter and will share soon.”

ESPN hired Kezirian in 2012. He spent over a decade with the Worldwide Leader and mostly gravitated towards sports betting. He famously won $297K on an NFL Draft prop and also demonstrated sustained success with two top-5 finishes in the 2022 William Hill College Football Challenge.

It should be noted that Kezirian did say that he will be able to share his future plans soon.

Doug originally joined ESPN as a SportsCenter host before going on to host a range of other programs on the network. He also has done college hoops play-by-play and hosted on ESPN Radio in his time at the network.
