During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Aloha actress Emma Stone shared that in the movie The Favourite, there was a scene where she had to be on the bed with sheets around her. Although it was a scene that was meant to have Stone’s character seem naked in the movie, she was not. Further on in the interview, she opened up by saying that she was ready to film a n*de scene, with her completely n*ked under the sheets. Although many were against this decision of hers, she managed to convince the director of the movie and though she has sometimes spoken against n*dity, she went on to perform a n*de scene in the movie.
The Favourite Was a Box Office Success
The Favourite was released in 2018 and is a mixture of drama and comedy. While the movie was liked by many and also received praise from multiple sources, it was rated 7.5/10 by IMDb. The movie was a box office success as it accumulated almost $96 million after its release worldwide costing only $15 million to make. It received critical acclaim and was also nominated for a number of awards, winning the Golden Globes, BAFTA Awards, British Independent Film Awards, and many others. It was also nominated for the Academy Awards but unfortunately, it did not win any.
