Not his acclaimed romance dramas but Tom Cruise’s movie, in which he played a vampire, caused Rebecca Ferguson to develop a crush on him.

1994’s Interview with the Vampire is remembered for kickstarting an alleged rift between Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, even though in recent years, it seems the speculated feud no longer exists. But apart from the drama surrounding it, the movie itself was a box-office success, and Rebecca Ferguson developed a crush on Cruise after watching it.

Even though the movie wasn’t her cup of tea, Ferguson, who first joined forces with Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie in Rogue Nation, certainly found Cruise the best part of the horror fantasy.

Rebecca Ferguson Was Assured Tom Cruise Was Delighted After Her Confession

While Tom Cruise has done his fair share of romance dramas, seeing Cruise as the vampire in the 1994 movie caused Rebecca Ferguson to develop a massive crush on the actor. The Dune Star, who has been one of the most important faces in the Mission: Impossible series since her entry in Rogue Nation, revealed that she confessed to Cruise about having a crush on him. The actor further stressed she was assured the MI Star was delighted by the fact, stating, “Who wouldn’t be?”

She told The Sunday Times:

“I had a crush on him by the time I saw him star in Interview with the Vampire. It’s certainly a weird film, and I told him when we worked together that I had a big crush. I’m sure he was delighted! Who wouldn’t be?”

Although fans were displeased following Grace’s death in Mission: Impossible – Death Reckoning, Ferguson hasn’t shut down the chances of a possible return in the next one.

Rebecca Ferguson Hasn’t Shut down the Chances of Grace Returning to Mission: Impossible

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Rebecca Ferguson shed light on her future in the Mission: Impossible franchise. While expressing her want to see her character go rogue, she didn’t completely shut down the possibility of a potential return in the future in the franchise. Reflecting on her character Grace, she said:

“It’s just that much you can do with a character, I find. I’m entitled to my own opinion in this. I want her to go rogue. I’m interested in the dark side. I don’t want a team member. It’s not interesting to me and I felt like that’s where we were heading, and it also takes a lot of time to make Mission. It is blood, sweat, and tears doing those films and by now, I’ve done a TV show and two movies. They’re still on Mission… But that’s the thing you never know, right?”
