LeBron James keeps showing the NBA that age is just a number. The Los Angeles Lakers star is 10 days away from turning 39 on Dec. 30, and he is playing in his 21st season. It wasn’t another big statline (25 PT, 10 RB and 9 AST) from the star, however, that wowed fans on Wednesday night… It was a monster dunk reminiscent of LeBron’s first years in the league.

LeBron James’ dunk came early on in the first quarter, after driving up the ball to the half-court line. The ‘King’ easily dribbled past Bulls forward Patrick Williams for the open paint and executed a flying one-handed dunk with authority.

LA fans, in particular, showed great pride in LBJ’s play: “The true GOAT”. As usual, some were skeptical in the ongoing debate in regards to who the NBA’s greatest of all-time is, but nevertheless bowed at what he’s doing at (almost) 39-years-old.

Losing by as much as 18 points early in the second quarter, LA rallied to trim the deficit to as low as two as late as halfway through the third quarter, but couldn’t get past DeMar DeRozan and Chicago. Despite LeBron’s solid game, the Bulls never trailed after the first two minutes of the first quarter, and both teams emptied their benches for the final minutes.
