Over the years, fans have been accustomed to seeing LeBron James holding a book, but seemingly always on the first page of whatever book he is allegedly reading. It has led to many thinking that he is never actually reads them.

On Monday, a former teammate of his on the Lkaers all but confirmed that LeBron is not actually reading these books at all.

Former teammate Alex Caruso, who now plays fo the Chicago Bulls was on the Pat McAfee Show when he got asked about it.

“Does LeBron read those books?” the show’s host asked. Caruso responded by saying, “What books?” he fired back.

This past season, the 29-year-old averaged 5.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists while shooting 45.5% from the floor, 36.4% from beyond the arc, and 80.8% at the free-throw line.

His modest stat line doesn’t tell the full story of his true impact on both ends of the floor even if defense is his calling card. He gained some recognition for it as he received two third-place votes for the Defensive Player of the Year award this season. The award went to Memphis Grizzlies big man Jaren Jackson Jr., but the fact that the former Texas A&M star got any votes at all is a testament to how far he has come in the league.

The Bulls got eliminated from the playoffs this year while LeBron and the Lakers are getting set to face the Golden State Warriors in the second round.
