Michael Jordan is once again on the move. No, not that one.

The New England Patriots reportedly have signed an under-the-radar offensive lineman with a much more popular namesake.

The Patriots on Wednesday signed Michael Jordan to a futures contract, according to the NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo.

Jordan, who turns 26 years old this week, was a fourth-round pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2019. He’s played 55 career games over the course of four seasons with the Bengals and Carolina Panthers.

The big man did not play during the 2023 campaign as he was on the Green Bay Packers practice squad. During the 2022 season, the 6-foot-6, 315-pound Ohio State product played in all 17 games for the Panthers.

The 6-foot-6, 315-pounder began his rookie season as the starting left guard. He started in nine games as a rookie and then 10 games in 2020.
Now he’ll compete for a job along the New England offensive line come training camp.

The Patriots are coming off a 4-13 2023 season which proved to be the final season of Bill Belichick’s career with the franchise as he and Robert Kraft parted ways.

The New England Patriots have already found their next head coach in Jerod Mayo.
